About

Briggs Consulting Ltd. was originally founded to provide geological well site supervision services. It later evolved to also provide industrial mountain safety and private mountain guiding services.

From 2002 until 2014 I consulted in the petroleum industry as a geological well site supervisor. In 2006, I began providing mountain safety consulting services and completed the mountain guide training process in 2011.

In 2012, I began training as a medical doctor at Dalhousie Medical School while continuing to work part-time in the guiding industry.

Currently, I am a resident anesthesiologist at Memorial University in St. John's Newfoundland.

I have focused on integrating my background in communication, risk management, and decision-making under uncertainty with medical training to develop expertise in approaches to clinical decision making, efficient provision of health care, and effective medical education.
