Briggs Consulting is the web home of Josh Briggs (MD, FRCPC, IFMGA, DiMM, BSc).
I am an anesthesiologist based in Comox, BC. My background in mountain guiding and the petroleum industry informs my approach to risk management and decision making under uncertainty in my current medical work.
I completed medical school in Halifax, NS; residency in St. John's, NL; and six months of regional anesthesia fellowship training in Calgary, AB.
I completed my mountain guide training through the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG) in 2012 and my Diploma in Mountain Medicine (DiMM) through the Mountain Medicine Society of Nepal in 2017.
Previously, I owned and operated a geological consulting & guiding business based out of Canmore, AB.
